We are a team of computer scientists, medical statisticians, and epidemiologists who are interested in the analysis of medical images and data, including the link between retinal images and systemic conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
Our aim is to develop further our statistical and AI approaches that are based on vasculometry and end-to-end AI to understand how different diseases develop and to be able to predict their progression.
We are a collaborative group based at Kingston University and City St George’s, University of London who have been working together now for over ten years, sustained by funding awards that include UKRI, BHF and the Wellcome Trust. We are also part of the ARIAS research group that focuses on the evaluation and monitoring of the performance of AI systems.
